A private and leisurely experience with rescued cows and sheep in Woodstock, Vermont — created for those who want to relax and connect.

Your private farm experience

Heartstone Farm offers calm, appointment-only visits on a quiet Vermont homestead. Time here is intentionally unhurried — you won’t be rushed, guided through a script, or part of a group. Instead, you’re given space to settle, to be present, and to spend time with the animals in a way that feels natural and unforced.

Morning and golden-hour visits offer the quietest moments at the farm, when the animals, light, and landscape fall into their gentlest rhythms.

Short on time? A 20-minute pasture visit with Cora & Robbie offers a simple, quiet introduction to the farm — a chance to meet them, share a few moments, and experience their gentle presence in a shorter visit.

Not Your Typical Farm Visit

Far removed from a traditional farm tour, Cora and Robbie— our beloved rescue cows — wander right up on the deck to spend time with guests. Found together as orphaned calves in an extreme neglect situation, their journey to health has been a true labor of patience, trust, and love. Today, they are healthy, curious, deeply bonded, and remarkably interested in the people who come to meet them.

Life Moves a Little Slower Here

Heartstone Farm is a tiny oasis we welcome you to step into. Time moves differently here, shaped by wandering animals, fresh Vermont air, changing skies, and the simple rhythm of life around the homestead. Some guests leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more grounded than they expected.

Our Homestead

Located in Woodstock, our private homestead offers a quiet, understated setting where guests can experience the calm and simplicity of life alongside the animals. The animals have taught us a great deal about presence, trust, gentleness, and slowing down. We believe time spent beside them can quietly reconnect people with those things within themselves as well.

Meet the Animals

The animals are the soul of Heartstone Farm. From affectionate rescue cows to quietly observant sheep, each animal adds its own charm, spirit, and unexpected moments to the day.

Phase Two of a Cow Connection Visit: Getting Acquainted

“I didn’t realize how much I needed this kind of quiet connection until I experienced it. The calm presence of the animals — especially sweet Robert — stayed with us long after we left. He somehow became the main topic of conversation for the rest of our evening.”

-Sarah, New York City

“I love the sound of their chewing… and they are soooo beautiful.”

-Jen, Vermont
